Totally agree. The problem is that some people get very defensive what they believe. If you disagree with those people they are quick to defend. Open minded people tend to be better at having open discussions about religion and beliefs.
I happen to believe that whatever works for you, gets you through, and helps to make you a better person - then that's the right belief for you!

LOL! You're doing the same thing! You "know" what you believe in is correct. Did you know that terrorist who blow themselves up believe that they are correct? Do you think they'd do that if they thought they were wrong? A lot of it has to do with brainwashing and the way you were raised.

A lot of people believe what they do because either it makes the most rational sense to them given the evidence they have or else they have experienced something which makes them believe it.

I believe what I believe based on the best evidence I have. If some better evidence comes to my attention which alters what I believe then I will believe that.

Believe is a statement of I do not know! People believe something because they "think" it is true. But as we all know, sometimes what we "thought" was true, was far from it!
Peace and Blessings...

i have strong faith in Buddha's teachings and that is my truth.
Buddha taught never to enforce our strong belief's onto anyone who does not wish to recieve them.
i rejoice in others having faith even if it not my faith as faith makes happiness in our hearts.
by saying others are stupid, is that not saying you yourself may be stupid.
no one is stupid for having faith no matter what that faith might be.
