God not only forgives our sins, but imputes His righteousness to us – both men and women – elevating us much higher than the status of Adam and Eve in the garden, even to dwell within us, granting us eternal life, to be one with Him in Heaven.

And as it is written:
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
–Galatians 3:28

So that the world may know, dear Christian sisters:
Do you feel oppressed as a woman in Christianity, or highly exalted?

Amen brother! I agree that Christianity elevates men and women equally to amazing heights. I've never felt oppressed as a Christian woman.

I'd take it a step further and say that, for me at least, Christianity paints a unique and shockingly accurate picture of the relative strengths AND weaknesses of men and women. Men and women may be one in Christ but we are not "equal" in terms of our contribution to God's plan. The hormonal and genetic differences alone point to significant designed differences between men and women. As the designer, God created woman to be a "helpmeet" for man...he designed us to complement man so that together we could achieve perfect synergy (whole greater than the sum of its parts).

I feel exalted by the bible's recognition of the differences between men and women. I like knowing that God understands me, weaknesses and all, and that he cares enough to warn me about the ways those weakensses can get me into trouble when dealing with the opposite sex!

Honestly, probably a little of both. The Bible also talks of God fearing women, in a matter of speaking. Yet I know we are created to inbody the beauty of God, and that are the version of God's nurturing side.
However, I'm sure I'm not the only woman who sometimes feels alone in this world, or who just wishes not to carry the burden sometimes. Yet, I know that God's love is greater than any of these things. Let Jesus wipe out the power of the enemy planting the seed of opression in our lives, and live fullfilled lives through the love of Jesus Christ.

I don't know... Wicca and several other NeoPagan religions allow women to serve as Priestesses, in many cases with more authority than the Priests possess. Our view of Deity places the Divine Feminine in the preeminent position; as a result, women are valued on at LEAST an equal footing with men, and sometimes women are held to have even more power and spiritual influence.

I fail to see how Christianity in general can top that.

Jesus talked to a Samaritan woman at the well. A.) Samaritans were despised. B) Women were despised in that culture. C.) Loose women were horribly despised. D.) Loose Samaritan women were three strikes and OUT!

Women in that day were thought even less of than slaves. It was through the teachings of the Bible that women were given an equal standing with men--for all are now one in Christ as you pointed out in Galatians 3:28.

This was the beginning of a revolution of freedom for women.

exalted to the highest degree. for those that think that women are of little degree to God, God even calls the earth a woman as he said she is our Mother.
it is getting harder for men and women to keep their place as the world is trying to undermine the creation with false doctrines as to what is expected of the man and/or the woman

Christianity and patriarchial religions in general are oppressive to women. To think otherwise means you obviously haven't read your buybull. Women were worthless in their eyes.

well i was christian. i am 21 now and i converted to islam. muslim women had rights way before christian women did. and christian women only got it through government not religion. in christianity women are considered cursed because of eating from the tree, whereas in islam adam and eve were both blamed equally for the sin. In fact, the difference between the Biblical and the Quranic attitude towards the female sex starts as soon as a female is born. For example the Bible states that the period of the mother's ritual impurity is twice as long if a girl is born than if a boy is (Leviticus 12:2-5). The Catholic Bible does state explicitly that "The birth of a daughter is a loss" (Ecclesiasticus 22:3) In contrast to this shocking statement, boys receive special praise, "A man who educates his son will be the envy of his enemy." (Ecclesiasticus 30:3) A daughter is considered a painful burden, a potential source of shame to her father "Your daughter is headstrong? Keep a sharp look-out that she doesn't make you the laughing stock of your enemies, the talk of the town, the object of common gossip, and put you to public shame."(Ecclesiasticus 42:11)
alot of past arabs would bury their daughters until the quran revealed it is a great sin and is forbidden to kill girls.

education If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church."(I Corinthians 14:34,35) How can a woman learn if she is not allowed to speak? How can a woman grow intellectually if she is obliged to be in a state of full submission? How can she broaden her horizons if her one and only source of information is her husband at home? christian women have been seen as lower than men since the beginning but islam liberated them Allah has heard and accepted the statement of the woman who pleads with you (the prophet) concerning her husband and carries her complaint to Allah, and Allah hears the arguments between both of you for Allah hears and sees all things...." (58:1). A woman in the Quranic conception has the right to argue even with the Prophet of Islam himself. No one has the right to instruct her to be silent. She is under no obligation to consider her husband the one and only reference in matters of law and religion. and the list goes on. inheritance in islam gives women their rights and what they deserve unlike christianity. those are a few things . but most christian see muslim women as oppressed because of the TV. the women in countries such as afganistan arent given their religious rights the men there have taken it away from them to have power over them. it is not the religion but man himself. alot of arabic countries are ruled by men and they have decided to take playing God in their own hands. taking away the rights god has given women in order to control them. i feel bad for those muslim women who are under the rule of men like that. but in islam this is not the way it is. women have so many rights and are equal to men in every aspect . in christianity women are low and cursed creatures. see how islam has liberated women.
