I'm fourteen, and have always begged my mom to let me get my lip pierced. she wont let me so i tried that whole safety pin/ice thing, yah. i don't recommend it. anyways.

1. my mom wont let me get it done
2. i don't know of any professional places that will let me get it done without a parent there at the scene
3. don't tell me i shouldn't do it, it just makes me want to do it more to prove everyone wrong
4. i know the risks of self-piercing. huge possibility of infection, especially in the lip. although i self-pierced my ears, and they got a little bit infected, so i took them out and they healed.
5. someone recommend a professional who doesn't need a parent to be there when i get it?
6. is there a safer way to self-pierce?

1. If your mom wont let you get it done, be mature about it and wait. It isn't the end of the world if you have to wait a few years. Maybe start showing your mom you can take care of it by doing more around the house, kindly explain to her why (and not because so-and-so has one) you want it, explain to her the pros and cons, what could happen in case of an infection. Maybe next time you get a good report card in school, or if you have a birthday coming up mention something about it to her then.
2. I had the same problem at 15, except I did have parental consent.
3. I won't tell you not to do it as it sounds as you already will no matter what anyone says, but, I will tell you that if you end up regretting it (i regretted my snakebites I Did myself at 15. They were super crooked) and taking it out, you will end up with scars on your face. I took mine out 3 years ago, and the scars are just as visible as they were the day after taking them out. If I would have waited a few years I probably would still have the piercings I loved, I miss them and can't get them repierced now due to work.
4. Did you know by taking out the jewelry from an infected piercing, you just got the infection trapped in your body and it could travel to different parts inside of your body.
5- I went to a piercer who doesn't need a parent there the first time I got my septum pierced. Big mistake. The guy was an ***, I think he was under the influence of some kind of drug or alcohol, and who knows if everything was sterile. He pierced it way way too shallow so it never healed. Same with another place I've been to without consent.. none of my piercings by the other guy have healed and I took them out, None of the jewelry he used was sterile. It was disgusting. So if it's without consent, there is a very good reason why. Chances are something isn't sterile.

6. Safer way then a safety pin and ice? Oh yea.
Make sure everything is sterile (autoclaved hollow piercing needle, autoclaved jewelry, gloves, clean-up the area in your house where you're going to do the piercing, autoclaved clamps so they aren't super crooked). An autoclave is the only thing that will sterilize things, not boiling water, rubbing alcohol, or any of that crap. You could get hepatitis if you use a needle (or safety pin) that isn't properly sterilized.
Clean the area doing sea salt soaks. Don't rotate it, don't use peroxide, rubbing alcohol, bactine..etc. Those will do more harm then good and prolong the healing time.

You should never do anything like this yourself. Especially since you said your ears got infected, so you took them out. If there is an infection, taking out the jewelry is the worst thing possible, as it will trap the infection and cause it to spread to other parts of your body. Either do more research on piercings, or prove to your mom that you're responsible enough to handle and take care of something like this.

even though you told me not to do this, do not, not listen to your parents, listen to them, because they are speaking of the right thing to do. if you do it, imagine it getting infected badly, then a bad bacteria gets into it, and the next thing you know, they are doing surgery on your lip to find that germ. you do not want that do you. just listen, and wait until your parents actually let you. if you wanna know a good way to get it, is make a bet with your parents, if they lose, the let you get it pierced. simple as that...

i suggest getting it done professionally. Alot of my friends did there's themselves and it ended up getting infected but My best friend did it with a piercing gun and just stretched the hole out later with the lip ring. it healed fine. but maybe she got lucky.

Wait till you can get it done professionally!

try threatening, tell her if she wont let you do it youll just do it yourself anyways. but dont actually do it yourself, ya know, cause of the whole infection and stuff thing.
and after that just try going to random places asking for it ^-^ i dont know any myself, but that could work :D yew have nothing to lose anyways!

oh yeah, or maybe if yew have a friend who looks kinda old yew could go with him/her? ^-^ there are loads of ways to do it
