sooooooo, I have been thinking :-) Bible tells us that Adam and Eve were the first humans created by god.
Science tells us that our ancestors evolved from primates. These two contradict each other. Which one is right? Evolution has to right. right? Because science has evidence like fossil records, human anatomy (humans have a tail bone like primates and yet no tail), and also genetically similar to primates. Humans share 99% of their DNA with primates! On the other hand, the only evidence for "Adam and Eve" is the Bible which was written thousands of years ago and no one knows for sure where it came from. Interesting.....

Religion AND Science.

Most Christians do not take the stories of creation in the Bible literally. Catholics believe the book of Genesis tells religious truth and not necessarily historical fact.

One of the religious truths is that God created everything and declared all was good.

Catholics can believe in the theories of the big bang or evolution or both or neither.

On August 12, 1950 Pope Pius XII said in his encyclical Humani generis:

The Teaching Authority of the Church does not forbid that, in conformity with the present state of human sciences and sacred theology, research and discussions, on the part of men experienced in both fields, take place with regard to the doctrine of evolution, in as far as it inquires into the origin of the human body as coming from pre-existent and living matter - for the Catholic faith obliges us to hold that souls are immediately created by God.

Here is the complete encyclical: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/pius_xii/encyclicals/documents/hf_p-xii_enc_12081950_humani-generis_en.html

The Church supports science in the discovery of God's creation. At this time, the theories of the big bang and evolution are the most logical scientific explanations. However tomorrow someone may come up with better ideas.

As long as we believe that God started the whole thing, both the Bible and responsible modern science can live in harmony.

With love in Christ.

You can believe or disbelieve all you want. It's not a matter of which is "right" and which is "wrong", as long as the boundaries for each are identified.

Evolution is a great theory when you are discussing science. There is little evidence that the theory doesn't occur the way it does. From an analytical point of view, science will win the day here.

Creationism is fine as long as it is realized that: a) it is not science, so trying to use it to argue against science is a moot point at best; b) a majority of the Chrisitian community acknowledges and accepts the theory of evolution as valid, but understands there are questions about origins that are not and that may not ever be completely or satisfactorily answered; and c) it's not hard to at least entertain the idea of creationism (or the closely related intelligent design) on a philosophical level, but evolutionary theory has much more science and real world evidence to back it.

But calling one "right" and the other "wrong" without the correct context is foolish, and borders on unethical. Religion can teach us just as much about humanity as science, even if (like me) you choose not to accept much of the religious dogma offered up.

Of course science makes more sense. God was just the old explanation of things we could not understand, like the Greeks coming up with Zeus to explain what lightning is. Now that we do have these answers, however, people just deny them so they can continue on happily believing their ancestors myths. It really makes me question the education system in the U.S.

Why does technological awareness exchange its recommendations plenty you're saying? nicely its because of the fact technological awareness is open minded to settle for new logical techniques, all and sundry makes blunders proper? confident, so what you do is you restoration your mistake and attempt to boost it somewhat than sticking to the religious bullshit for thousands of years you ******* cavemen.
