Notice that Earth Rirst only lists negative consequences. This is because he has an agenda and a bias. Obviously there will be numerous benefits that should outweigh the negaive ones in my opinion. IN the winter, animals hiberate, lose their leaves, lose weight, and generally die off in large numbers. Spring time results in replenshment of their habitat so that the animals can prosper. I really question the sanity of those that seem to insist that colder is always better. I wonder what planet they are living on.

Let's look at what happened a thousand years back during the Medieval Warm Period, when the Earth was much warmer than it is today.
Lots more farmland.
Longer growing seasons, meaning more food for humans and wildlife
Less death due to cold and starvation
More water vapor, causing more rainfall and more vegetation
More carbon dioxide, which is plant food, making plants grow faster

1) A complete loss of personal freedom after liberal politicians and their ilk use global warming hysteria as an excuse to put the government (with them in charge of course) in complete charge of every aspect of our lives.
2) A total collapse of the world economy after neo-Luddites use global warming hysteria to eliminate all technical progress achieved over the last two centuries.
3) Shortened life spans due to famine and pestilence resulting from 2.
4) An eventual return to sanity after the vast majority of the human race realize how completely they have been duped.

There's alot more than four, unfortunately.
Climate logic dictates an increase in storm intensity, especially tropical one's that feed off of warm tropical water, such as hurricanes.
Changing weather patterns will likely subject many areas that are used to dependable rainfail to devastating long-term drought.
Desertfication will increase, and we sre already seeing this in Spain and China, two nations that lose thousands of acres to the desert everyday.
Many areas will be subjected to intense flooding due to an increase in moisture in the air.
Wildfires will increase.
Certain ecosystems will collapse with the sudden change in climate. Many animals that fail to adapt quickly will go extinct.
Sea levels will rise due to collapsing ice sheets, how much we cannot be sure yet( there's enough water stored in Greenland ice sheet to raise sea levels 20 feet, and Antartica over 500 feet), but even a slight rise of a few feet will inundate coastal areas and low-lying nations, setting off waves of refugees. This will likely cause localized and even regional ethnic conflicts.
The list goes pessimisticly on and on...

1. Trillions of dollars wasted on a myth, when that money could have helped the world's poor.
2. Plants will thrive and food will be more abundant, feeding the world's poor.
3. 100,000 less people will die of cold each year, and only 20,000 more because of heat.
4. We will have a complete loss of our freedoms, because of the additional huge government expansion.
