Any SATA 2.5" 5400 RPM hard drive will work 7200 RPM work too, but Sony recommends 5400 RPM, though.

You can buy a bigger PS3 hard drive from nearly any electronic store.

The biggest hard drive that can be put in a PS3 is 250GB.
The size of the hard drive doesn't matter and the brand of the hard drive doesn't matter either.

The type of hard drive that you need to buy is a 2.5" Sata internal laptop hard drive.
