That is funny.
Most christians seem to forget their own bible says to kill the "infidels"
It's just that Islam hasn't reached the modern peak that christianity has.
It shall hopefully =]
Almost every religon has their own "infidel to kill"
and most christians always say to me "But islam says to kill us and jews!"
Well, no flip.
Islam came after those 2, so aparently their infidels.
while christianity came before jews.
and Jews were number 1.
I don't know what Jews "infidels" are, but the other too are excatly the same.
Don't lump corrupt vile muslims [Personally, I don't consider them muslims =/] with the majority of muslims, which most are kind and hate violence agaisn't humans.
What do you think?

Yeahhhh =/
Stop with the "sugar coating"
Everyone is well aware the bible says to kill infidels.
My friend is a preacher, and he read the bible 76 times.
I'll ask him where it's located, and you'll see for yourself.
and Christianity killed more people for religous reasons that Islam did.
so We're not the only violent ones.
=/

Did I say "EVERY" religon?
No.
I'm well aware of asian religons and other minortiy ones being peaceful.
It's nice knowing we have ones that promote "every living things are percious" than "we are the best religon, kill the nonbelivers" kind. =]

I agree entirely; both Judaism and Christian do either in their immediate scripture or in corrollary writings (Talmud,Canon Law,etc.) have such antique provisions, and they are both older than Islam. That there are still retrograde Muslims running around invoking such dictums as a justification for what is actually political murder should not come as any particular surprize, nor should the fact they such persons are very few in number - a circumstance easy to forget in view of the fact that fanatical behavior inevitably generates a great deal of publicity. It should also be remarked that although Christianity has ceased to emply such dictums,Judaism continues to do so,as much if not more so than Muslims; however it proceeds under cover of "military responses" rather than as apparent or obvious political murder. Usually. The IDF's "planned assassinations" shouldn't fool anyone - a crime committed by a sate it might be - but it is still murder.

You are forgeting the world isn't just Jews, Christians and Muslims!

Your book makes no concession for anyone outside of those terms apart from death.

Your holy text makes allowances for the Jews and Christians, because you share their prophets out side of that. Islam tolerates no one.

Jesus said to kill who ? are you blind ?
They wanted to stone the Woman to death and Jesus said do it not, unless you are sinless :)

kjv says this about infidels, it does not say to kill them ?

2Cr 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

1Ti 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Islam says if you are not Islam then you must die,

Sura (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."

Sura (9:30) - "And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!"

I'm with Morganie. Where is that Biblical injunction to kill infidels? I must have missed that.

Have you even READ the Bible? Somehow I doubt it.

Christians are commanded to love, not to kill, but the Koran commands the killing of infidels in several places.

I think some people aren't Happy with themselves unless they are putting down anyone who may be different.

Religions that claim to be the only "true" religion promote that kind of thinking.

Please point me to the bible passage where Jesus says to kill the infidels. I've been a Christian for 9 years and I haven't found it yet...

In Jesus's life he healed the sick, fed the hungry, had mercy on the poor, and raised the dead to life again.

Muhammad organized 65 military campaigns in the last ten years of his life and personally led 27 of them. The more power that he attained, the smaller the excuse needed to go to battle, until finally he began attacking tribes merely because they were not part of his growing empire.

When Christians imitate the founder of their religion they serve food at a homeless shelter. When Muslims imitate the founder of their religion, they strap bombs to themselves and blow up buildings...

Don't try to tell me they're equivalent.
