Okay, so I'm a 13 year old that has to wear a tuxedo for this orchestra concert thing, and I'm severely confused because this orchestra mainly has high school students that, I guess, dress fancy a lot so....I don't want to look stupid, so help please xP

Okay, so I know how to wear pants and the shirt <.<

Now, two parts of it that I usually don't wear are the cummerbund and the bowtie.

Cummerbund:
I checked all over the internet but I just kept getting "pleats up" and I'm like, okay, I know this, now how/where do I wear it? Specifics, because "around the waist" could be anywhere =/

Bowtie:
Well this clearly goes around the collar, but does the bowtie go over the collar or under the collar? I looked at pictures but the pictures are too blurry to see anything xP

Thanks in advance =D

The cummerbund goes right above the waist of the pants. In the middle of your tummy, so it looks like it is part of the pants.

The bow tie goes under the shirt collar, under the back and continuing towards the front, the actual bow part shows, and kinda sticks out in front of the collar. Much like a regular Man's tie.

I'm sure you will look very handsome! Ask an Adult for help, like your Mom or a teacher.

Good Luck!

The whole idea of the cummerbund is to hide your belt. Wear it around your waist to cover the belt and waistband.

There has been a long-running debate about bow ties. Most say over the collar. After all what's the point if you can't see the tie? Someone will probably disagree with me.

Bow ties and cummerbunds are quickly disappearing. Get a vest and a Windsor tie.

A cummerbund, is a colored material that matches your tie, that goes around your waist. (You have probably seen them, just didn't know what they were called!)

It covers the lower part of your waist, low enough to slightly cover the top part of your pants.

The bowtie is worn so that the strap goes undr the collar. Don't worry! When the time comes, I am sure there will be enough experianced people around to make sure you look your sharpest!
