Im adopted so idk how tall my birth parents r, but im only 5'3 1/2" and need to get to 5'7" its a certain height requirement for something im trying out for. Im asian, 13 1/2 (bday in Feb) and got my . about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Will i be able to grow those 4 inches? I eat healthy and do daily stretches, sit ups, and pushup, but I dont do a sport. What can I do to improve my growing (ps-I have iron supplement pills that i take about once every 2 weeks, if i take them about every 1 or 2 a week, will they help? its ok if i do, my doctor told me, but will it help?)

I cant play basketball cuz the seaon already started and I cant join, so preferable exercises or courses outside of school, I cant hire a personal trainer, and I know I cant dramatically change my height, just give it a little boost

first off im assuming you are a girl " you got your . about 1 1/5 years ago." im assuming thats your period. but if your a guy please write that in extra details and then you will definatly reach 5'7 :D

usually you work out your final height (estimation for a girl) by taking your mums and dads height ( minus 5 inches off dad) and take average of that.
But since you dont know your real parents. find your hieght at aged 2 and double it, it is accurage within an inch or two.

At the moment i am 17 male and 5'9 - i have about a year or so left to grow and my predicted height was 5'8 and a half so im a bit talller than that, and you can do that through good diet.

Another way is to look at a growth percentile chart. I have a link enclosed for you of a female one, girls usually stop growing at around 16 whereas the chart suggests guys stop around 19.

Ill chek on this chart, so your nearly 14 ( 2months off) and 5'3 and a half, following the chart you will be around 5'5 when you are 16-17 which will be your final height.

If you want to predict your final height more accurately go to the doctors or sum specialist and get a bone scan, because when your bones growth pallates have closed you have stopped growing and they can determine whether they are still open or not and measuring your current growth pattern can estimate your final height.

But, my estimate is 5'5 and it seems a rather impossible task, i am sad to inform you, that you will reach 5'7.

As for the iron supplements, they will help you reach your genetically pre determined height but they will not help you exceed it, also sleep 9 hours a day and you will have a higher chance of reaching your final height

anyway 5'5 isnt bad, average woman is lyk 5'4. :D goodluck though

ohh... and for the stretching your frame.... i wouldnt count on that, some people think it works others dont, if your lucky you may get half an inch off yoga but then again im not sure on that

You can only grow as fast or as tall as your genes and hormones allows your and body to grow. No supplements, stretches or exercises will change that. If you are destined to be 5'7" you will, if not you won't. You are only 13 1/2 so may have quite a bit of growing left to do!

There is nothing that you can do to make yourself grow. Your genes are responsible for your height. Your still young and will continue to grow for the next few years. I applaud you for exercizing and eating healthy. If it makes you feel any better, I'm only 5'4" and not getting any taller. I love my height and my body. Sometimes you just have to deal with what you get. Good luck!
