We are all grown up now (me being 25), but I wanted to ask a question....
Does anyone if being the youngest in the birth order makes a difference if you want kids or not? It is just that my older sisters except for one all have children. My brothers too. I feel that I probably do not want to have children. Do you think this might be because I had no younger siblings?

Sorry if my question seems a little confusing!

I don't think birth order has anything to do with someone's personality and personal choices, but it is odd that you mention this since I am the youngest child and do not want to have kids.

I know a lot of women and men that were the youngest and had children.

I dont think that being the youngest prevents you from wanting kids my little sister swears she is going to have seven, But at the same time she is only eleven and still has no sense of the cost. Some people just find having children are to much of a responsibility i actually see a lot of eldest siblings not wanting kids because they have had children around all there life.

Actually, it's usually the other way around! The oldest not wanting kids because they have had to put up with little kids they're whole childhood so when they're older they want some time where kids don't exist. Whereas being the youngest, they've never experienced having little ones around as much, so they want their own kids sooner. Not a proven fact, obviously, but it tends to go that way.

It's perfectly normal to not want children. And 25 is kind of young to want kids, IMHO.

But I know only children, firstborns, middles and youngest of their families who all have or want kids of their own. So I doubt it's a birth order thing, as much as it's just about you being your own person.

Nope because you probably just dont want to or you have not been interested in getting married and becoming to be a mature mom. Your brothers and sister might have wanted kids becuase You can show off what an adorable child you have....You can do mother daugther things or have a litte dady's girl.

It is fun.... I'm so far loving it. I got my daughter, Danielle ,when i was 16.

I never got married though....Danielle and I love living her in a Apartment in New York...Now my daughter is 16!
Thats my only lovely child who is my best freind...Have a child!!!You will LOVE it!

Nope. I don't think birth order has much to do with it. I only have one older brother and I want as many as I can have! How blessed you were to be born into a large family! :)

i think it may stem more from being the "baby" for so long, having a child of your own means that you will have truly grown up (well, hopefully!)

you have years to decide if you want kids or not, so don't stress.
