You and I will never get to know, not unless someone tape recorded the preaching then releases it to the media. From what we hear from some Muslims, however, it seems as if they have been told that an actual animal was given their prophet's name! Probably when the media portrays a child's soft toy, they think to themselves that that is just Western influence, trying to tone down the affair. Perhaps Western journalists stole the animal away and replaced it with that soft toy. Even now, as we speak, some Islamic zealots in Khartoum may be searching for a real, live bear, determined to slay the satanic beast the moment they find it! (Joking? I wish.)

The teacher didn't even make a mistake. The name was picked by the kids in her class. The whole episode makes Islam look like a mess of idiots.

Yes I would, and that is who I blame for the problems in the middle east. Not the people. They were raised to believe the religious clerics were like God's and they believed them.
They are the ones causing the problems to blame the people would be like blaming a little alter boy because the priest raped him.

I don't understand the blasphemy here. The kids were actually the ones who named the bear. Shouldn't they be pleased in the fact that Muhammad is the children's favorite name. I think they just want to mad at someone for something.

Yeah, it would be interesting to know what exactly they were told. Chances are they were told it was their religious duty to see her dead, at least that is the way they acted. And yet people still try to get us to believe that Islam is a peaceful religion.

I hate this story
She made a mistake - she did not know. The children should have known better. Are we saying now that people can't make honest mistakes?
