fruit = simple sugars

an all fruit diet that would be the absolute worst way to attempt to lose weight in a short period of time. with a high sugar intake comes excess water being stored in the body along with elevated insulin levels which means fat storage and the reduction of fat burning.

if you want to rapidly lose weight cut the carb intake and drastically increase the protein intake.

First of all fruit is an essential food in any healthy diet.. However... if you are trying to loose fat. Eating just fruit is probably the 2nd worse thing you can do. Eating only chocolate is the first.. Fruits such as bananas, cantaloupe, honeydew, kiwi, oranges, and apples contain just as much carbohydrates as a piece of chocolate candy (half of an average candy bar, per fruit.) Considering that most people's metabolism uses sugar carbohydrates as an initial source of energy. Its safe to say that eating only fruit would cause your body to burn the fruit instead of the fat.. I would suggest eating 4 small meals a day with a good mixture of all the nutrients excluding fat, and with minimal carbohydrates. The only carbohydrates you should eat when trying to burn fat are natural whole wheat carbohydrates. Also be active. You don't necessarily have to work out. Just be more active. Instead of using the remote to change the channel get up and walk over to the t.v.. little things that get you moving more often. In your case with time being a factor. You want to get a 10-30 min heart rate boosting workout into your daily routine.. at least 4 or 5 days out of the week.

No, you want to eat vegetables. They have less sugar than fruits, and they're sooooooo much healthier. Also, some fruits can make you break-out. If you want to lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time, then doing sit-ups are great to. But about nutrition, here's a list of what you should eat.

Fruits:
Apples
Oranges
Bananas
Strawberries
Blueberries
Grapes
Watermelon

Vegetables:
Carrots (A must!)
Lettuce
Cauliflower
Cucumbers
Corn

Eating a half of grapefruit before a meal three times a day was actually proven to lose weight.
You can eat apples (apple skins have lots of fiber), oranges, peaches, starfruit, cherry, plums, Leechee, pears (pears have lots of fiber also), Any type of berry is good for snacking (also has tons of fiber), tomatoes, grapes, etc...

I have no idea what fruit you can't eat, but here are the options! I have to add in that you can't eat ALL fruits. You can't lose weight that way. The acid in the fruits will build up in your stomach..do you want that? Drinks lots of water and exercise. Please add other food with your "diet". It's never healthy to eat only a certain type of food. It will harm you! I know this wasn't what you wanted to hear...but it wouldn't hurt to eat a little something else, right?

Dried fruit is good too.... nope, this is not the best diet for anyone... you need protien to loose weight... cottage cheese is the best kind of protein. I eat a lot of low-fat cottage cheese mixed with fruit - berries, pine apples, grapes... anything you like...

but if you are going to do this, have that bathroom close by - you'll be using it frequently!

Good Luck!

If you're going to do this, I would eat veggies rather than fruit. Fruits are high in sugar and higher in carbs. Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day, too. And yes, this is not healthy to do...your body needs protein.

i ate nothing but fruit, brown rice, and juice for 10 days using the diet from celebrity fitness club on vh1. i lost 7lbs in that 10 days and was sick and tired of fruit after it all but i felt great. i started to introduce meat in my diet after that and just ate in moderation and have kept most of the weight off. (this was a yr ago too)

Eating nothing but fruit? have the Pepto handy ;)
I'd actually ad some veggies in with the fruit, so you have fiber and more vitamins... and also take a vitamin suppliment

I'd go with grapes and berries... blue berries are awesomely great for you, but expensive and often lack flavor from the shelves. Grapes are addictive, kind of like pop corn, you eat just a little and before long you have eaten a lot.

it IS unhealthy. you need protien and grains. and i don't know if you can loose all of that weight in that amount of time. if you don't get protien your body will feed off of your muscles and you won't loose it for that reason.
