Hi Cealy, thanks for asking !

We enjoy studying and learning what is found in the Bible, and really "getting" the true meaning of the scriptures. We want to learn about the Bible, which is how we live our lives. (granted we are still imperfect and make mistakes)

The things i'm sure you've heard that we don't take part in, we don't view as "rules" at all, once you learn what the Bible has to say about things, origins about other things that many others take part in, yet we choose not to, because we know that they conflict with the way we feel is the best way for us to imitiate God, these things aren't rules, yet, they naturally become a way of life, and don't seem like a burden at all.

(Isaiah 43:10-11) . . .YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. 11 I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.”

The only official website of Jehovah's Witnesses is found at
http://www.watchtower.org

Here is a link to the site with a page discussing our beliefs:

If you get time, please visit a Kingdom Hall on a Sunday, enjoy a bible based talk and then a like a group bible study discussion out of our Watchtower Magazine, which is a bible based magazine. We have a member read paragraphs from the lesson and then the audience answers and discusses it, including scriptures that are noted in the lesson.

It really probably is different than other church sessions you'll have gone to, and I really think you'll enjoy the diversity and the friendliness of the people at your local Kingdom Hall.

Thanks for your question!

The whole bible is full of useful principles that complete a perfect standard that we STRIVE to live by, being imperfect as we are. It takes great effort but it is worth all the work. One can take great satisfaction in knowing we have tried our best.
Any case the main outline of these "rules" is seen at Matthew 22:37-39; Ecclesiastes 12:13; 1 John 3:18; 1 John 5:3; John 13:34, 35;

These are just a few, there are many, many more.

Jehovah's Witnesses are members of an international Christian religion of the same name, whose adherents believe it to be restored first-century Christianity.[1][2] Jehovah's Witnesses are governed by their understanding of Scriptural laws and principles from the Bible, as interpreted by their Governing Body.[3] Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. is a legal organization in use by Jehovah’s Witnesses for their ministry work.

The religion was developed in response “to what they saw as compromise and corruption in mainstream Christianity.”[4] They dispute doctrines such as the Trinity, hellfire, immortality of the soul, and clergy-laity divisions as illegitimate additions to the original Christian teachings.[4] The name "Jehovah’s Witnesses" is based on Isaiah 43:10, and was adopted in 1931.[4] The Watchtower Society has been publishing religious materials since the late 19th century, its most widely known publications being the magazines The Watchtower and Awake![5][6]

Jehovah’s Witnesses count as adherents the number attending their meetings, which numbers over 16.5 million worldwide.[7] Of these adherents, they count as members those who report time preaching each month.[8] As of August 2006 this membership is about 6.7 million.[9]

A primary Witness teaching is the use of a personal name for God, Jehovah, and the belief that making this name known to others is an important part of worship. They believe that Jesus' death was necessary to atone for the sin brought into the world by the first man, Adam, opening the way for the hope of everlasting life for mankind, and that 144,000 people will receive immortal life in heaven as co-rulers with Christ, ruling over the rest of mankind during the Millennial Reign. Witnesses believe that during the imminent war of Armageddon, the wicked will be destroyed, and survivors, along with millions of others who will be resurrected, will form a new earthly society ruled by a heavenly government and have the possibility of living forever in an earthly paradise.

Well, if anybody said we don't recognize the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, they told you wrong.

We believe everything the Bible says about Jesus Christ.

And we believe nothing that the Bible does not say about Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ never told anyone to celebrate his birthday.

As for "laws," we are not under the Old Law Covenant, but under the "law" of Love, which the Lord Jesus Christ described as 'loving God with all the heart, soul and mind, and loving one's neighbor as oneself.'

There are also Bible principles we follow, since "all Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial."

Rather than follow "rules," we follow the Christ, who called himself the "Faithful and True Witness."

Micah 6: 8
He has told you, O earthling man, what is good.
And what is Jehovah asking back from you but to exercise justice and to love kindness and to be modest in walking with your God.
