We have to drive, but the day and the time does not matter in the slightest, just that we have to do it in one day, arrange some stuff (which will probably take two or three hours) and come back. All this before December 11th. How should we plan the day? It's no problem for us to wake up early, we just want it over with - without too much traffic on the way. Thanks for helping out!

If you can take care of business on a Sunday AM get there before 9am and leave by 2 or 3pm that would be the best bet.

I go to SD often and I live in LA. Weekdays are a nightmare. Traffic, traffic, traffic. I now leave on a weekend morning. I usually go Saturday morning around 8AM and come home Sunday morning. Good traffic flow on Saturday's takes me just a tad under 2 hrs. I have come home Saturday evenings too and the traffic is heavier, but do-able.

I would go during a weekday at night. I do the drive from around Ventura to Sand diego a lot and i usually leave at 8. you could also probably leave early in the morning if your up for it. im just not a morning person so i never do.

Definitely a weekend morning. Earlier is better, since a number of people like to go to SD for the day. Avoid later Sunday afternoon, since a lot of people are coming back from the weekend.

you might want to relax and take Amtrak to San Diego
or even megabus as well
that way you will have less stress for sure as some else
would be doing the driving
(but do not take Greyhound as they use a contractor on this route)

Hello Isa
Sorry, this is not to answer your question ... you answered me earlier about my question concerning the I-130 and I thank you for that.
But please, I would like to have more information about your case but unfortunately there is no way to IM you ! so this is my questions : when have you filed your I-130 ?
from which country is your spouse ?
have you filed at the embassy or at your nearest service center ?
Thank you for your time
Best regards
