sorrow is wrong! anything with that much sugar is going to give you a hangover. It's the sugar that gives you the headache. One of the best anti hang over drinks is vodka and water. You need to keep hydrated, and there is no carbs/sugar. if that sounds too harsh, try a flavored (berry) vodka and soda water with lemon slices.

Like many others have said: Don't drink alcohol high is added sugar. Alcohol converts to sugar as it is...so stick with clear spirits.
But NOT rum because that is made out of molasses!
Here is a yummy and easy recipe:
Berry Delightful
Ingredients:
1 oz Triple Berry Vodka (any mid-grade)
1/2 oz Triple sec
1 oz Orange juice
Lots of Ice
Mixing Instructions:
Mix together and enjoy...I'd say triple the recipe and call it a night!
Garnish with orange slices.
And this is one that is a bit on the "heavier" side but is good if you have some time the next day to recover:
Apricot punch
Ingredients:
2 oz Apricot brandy
5 oz Champagne
1 oz Vodka
8 oz 7-Up
splash of Orange juice
Mixing instructions:
Mix together over ice and swirl.
The measurements may be off...I usually make this as a punch bowl, but start small and don't be afraid to experiment.
Cheers!

Suggestions.
1. Hydrate yourself. Drink a glass of water for every 1 or 2 drinks.
2. Don't mix alcohol (Beer vs Wine vs Hard Alcohol).
3. Purchase Quality Spirits, don't buy cheap.

Beer, obviously!!!
Red Hook ESB has never made me sick once. Delicious going down!!!!
If you are considering tequila, go for Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo. Jose Cuervo and other brands usually have me heading for the back door after the 2nd or third drink and then all is well after that. But Cabo Wabo is very smooth and goes down like cinnamon-flavored water. Very good to drink!
Maybe do shots of Cabo with a Red Hook ESB chaser!
Happy drinking!!!

if you are not used to drinking anything might give you a hangover. I like vodka and 7 with a twist of lime myself. sloe gin and o.j. is also good. i've never tried this but some people swear that they never get hangovers when they mix 1 beer with 1 oz of tomato juice. good luck.

Wine coolers are mild. But, if you plan on drinking 'copius' (huge) amounts, any Alcoholic beverage will make you sick!
