Seeing all this trash by these SOB islam haters who can't seem to know the first thing about Islam was so annoying. But this question made my day with the colorful resonses. I would say something but I already picked out my favorie ones! I just hate intelligently challenge losers, good job guys for putting this dummy in his place! lol

----------
My favorite comments:

It's not a question for Islam, but rather a question for the Middle East, Russia, Canada, and South America.

Who will the USA invade and murder when they no longer need oil?

When exactly are the US populace planning to give up their Hummers and SUVs, then?

Free from the tyranny! What some people do for oil! shame, shame....(bush regime)

you do know that most muslim countries do NOT have oil, right?
you must be talking about arabs, but you are too stupid to realize it. and besides you will probably be dead by the time the US doesn't need arab oil

Islam is a religion. Oil is a commodity. An apple is a fruit. A rabbit ape is an animal.

-----

First of all, Islam doesn't have the oil. Countries do. Political entities like Iran and Saudi Arabia, not a religion.

Second of all, it's doubtful that any of the Muslims on this forum are even FROM those countries.

So who the hell are you talking to?

-----

That wouldn't be Islam, would it?

Granted, a good share of the countries we buy oil from at marginally low prices in comparison to everyone else are under some form of Islamic rule... it's not Islam the USA are buying from is it?

Now, here is another question. What should smart people from the USA do to disassociate themselves from the ignorant masses who hate people for the sake of hatred because they lack the basic fundamental understanding of import/export?

Learn about an issue or two before trying to rally a crowd please

I told my husband that his country would make more money manufacturing and selling cars then exporting oil. However will his whole country will embrace this idea I'm not sure. The Muslims can go on even if all the oil is gone. It will be a blessing when all the oil is dried up because it will cut down on pollution of the Earth and it will also stop one of the reasons people go to war with each other.

Uh, not all Muslims are from oil-producing countries, and not all oil-producing countries are Islamic. (South America ring any bells?)
And no, oil does not 'run Islam,' any more than gold 'runs Catholicism.' Having a lot of something does not make it part of one's religion.

The fact that you don't know the difference between a religion, an ethnicity, and a geographical region makes me think you're not very educated.
Your apparent joy in making backhanded comments to an entire group of people, just because they're different than you (and you obviously don't even know how they're different), reinforces the idea that you're uneducated.

That's a long ways away from happening. Even if it does, there are other countries barely getting into the oil market and their demand is rising. It's not like these developing countries will have access to the same state of the art U.S. alternative fuel, so demand for oil will remain high for LONG time to come.

I have been to Qatar about a year ago and they were gearing up for this by getting ready to become a touristy place by setting up beach resorts and stuff. Many of the other places do a lot of stuff besides oil. Only few people get super rich off of it anyway. Everyone else is just as broke as I am.

Wherever there is oil, it seems to have corrupted the government that "owns" it and caused wars of invasion, occupation, and economic control. The US is no exception. I personally think that oil has done more to remove people - especially people in power - from moral values of any kind. Unjust killing, expropriation of territory, human rights violations, financial corruption, and nasty lifestyles seem to follow oil like so much of a scum trail.

If Islam were tied to oil at the hip, I am curious to know more about Prophet Muhammad's discovery of oil.
