No. It's not an accident, it's a health issue.
That's why accidental death insurance policies are kind of a waste - MOST people do NOT die in accidents, they die of health issues.

I'm no doctor but aren't most heart attacks sudden? Isn't that sort of the nature of the beast? I don't think you usually get a warning that a heart attack is going to happen 12 hours from now.
Most likely Accidental death coverage is going to be for things like - you were killed in a car accident, fell off your house putting up Christmas lights and died, drowned while white water rafting - something caused by an accident.

it depends how the term "bodily injury is defined" in hter insurance contract. Generally a heart attack isn't considered to be accidental. Was it the result of an accident which precipitated the death, like an auto injury. or a fall, then it's a possibilty. What i would recommend is to submit the claim, and worse cause scenario it is denied. Hate to say it's not covered and it turns out to be a covered incident.

You'll have to read the policy, but I doubt it. Cardiac failure would be death due to natural causes, not an accident.
