Were they killed for saying we should love God and each other?
for healing people?
For setting them free from demons we now call Mental Illness?
I mean seriously..........the vehement hatred for people who just want to show LOVE is proof there is a satan. And a God.

Jesus was killed because his teachings opposed Judaic laws. Jesus opposed the religious authorities and also opposed Mosaic laws. This was a blasphemy to them hence punishable by death, Jews didn't have much executive powers since they were occupied by the Romans, hence the Romans are the ones that executed Jesus since he was causing dissent among their subjects. As far as the apostles they were persecuted because it was a foreign and opposing religion to the Romans. Rome was pagan when the apostles were preaching, and Christianity cleary opposes paganism in the new testament. Religion was also a very big business in the ancient world (as well as now). Ancient Christians also saw martyrdom as a great way to redeem themselves to God and it served as a great tool to show how corrupt Rome was.
Also the Romans didn't like Jesus teachings about redistributing wealth....that type of stuff isn't what you want to hear when you are the wealthy and have a slave driven economy. I don't know how a capitalistic slave driven economy like ours retained a monotheistic religion lol?

The man you now call jesus christ was killed by the Romans because he was what is nowadays called a terrorist. He tried to free his people from Roman oppression and started a rebellion. He told his few followers to take up their swords and help him fight. He never preached peace. that story was added by the "men" who wrote the bible almost 1000 years later. The blind was those who could not see the oppression, he made them see it. The death was those who could not hear about the oppression, he made them hear it. Know the origins of your religion and you shall realise your jesus and god concepts were created by men and that is why your god has so many human attributes vengeful, favoratism, angry, etc...

Good question. It's just proof that Jesus' words really were and still are the truth. Wouldn't it be great if more people looked deeper into this? Would an evolutionist die for his/her theory? Would a Wiccan dies for his/her witchcraft? Would someone who doesn't believe in anything in particular die for computers, the earth, art, music, animals, land, or to keep immigrants out of the U.S.? Most likely not. At least those who know and accept that God is real have something to live for.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

No they were not killed for saying love God and each other

and no they was not killed for people being healed

and no they was not killed for casting out demons ( and thats not mental illness)( some have illness and not demon possessed )

THEY WERE KILLED
FOR THE NAME OF
JESUS
Cause HE WAS and IS GOD

and it was ordained of HIM to DIE
for the SINS of Man

and His disciples were killed
FOR HIS NAME

they beat them , inprisoned them
and killed them ALL
over the NAME
JESUS

and had satan knew the redemption plan
they would not have crucified the LORD

but he as the world today couldnt understand
that JESUS is GOD

but He knows NOW

The Romans of that time killed a lot of people, and to them Jesus was just another trouble maker. They had their own Gods to worship.

Hatred proves God?

Huh?

Yes of course! I agree. People hate to see good. It puts a moneky wrench in their plans. Even demons hate to be demonized. We still do the same today. The media, for example, tries to crucify and dig dirt up on everyone especially those who claim to be good.

Yes.

Think about it this way.

Many, His disciples and followers, were killed believing in something greater than this carnal existence.

Would unbelievers do the same for Science, or Evolution?

The truth hurts. Just look how some people react on R&S to the truth of the Gospel.
