Never make a conclusion without adequate investigation of the facts. That's ignorance.

Religion is very, very bad. Some of the worst atrocities in human history have been carried out under the banner of one religion or another.

Even moderate religious people suffer from poor education, ignorance and in many cases, psychological damage. Moderate religion is also a safe haven and breeding ground for fundamentalists.

Religious terrorists are always thought of as Muslims, yet the American Christian Taliban is a serious and growing problem at the moment.

Banning religion outright would do more harm than good. Only better education and a ban on religious dogma before a certain age will help eradicate this plague on humanity.

Beliefs are good, but religion is bad. This is what I have noticed, as everyone needs something to believe in, but religion tends to control those people. Sure, everyone needs these boundaries, but telling people what is good and what is bad without letting them make up their own mind ends with bad results.
If rules are there, people tend to follow them as far as it applies to their own lives. This means that arguments break out over who has the right rules, whether between different religions, or two sects of the same religion (e.g. Protestants and Catholics). Let people decide for themselves. Whatever happens, morality will still exist. Half the people will enjoy life, half will suffer; half will be good, half will be bad. Same as ever.
The only difference: people will not be controlled. they will be free to believe what they want =oD

Even with all the problems religions causes in the world, I think it's still needed. A lot of people would lose the meaning of their life and go crazy without it.

It's not so much the religion as the zealots in the 'I'm right, you're wrong' delusional state who try to inflict their beliefs on others. Religion has no place in the 21st century.

Bad, very bad. So bad its brimming over with badability ( I know, I just made that word up. I don't need any smug christians saying there's no such word as badability) But its still bad. If there were no religion the twin towers would still be there.

I don't think religion is bad itself. Very few are. Most of the time its what people do with it. People are easily corrupted.

Well, it shoouldn't be banned; that would be taking away people's freedom to practice a religion. But I do agree that religion can be bad.
