Sure let's continue invading other countries and in the process running our country in bankruptcy. We're already the most hated country in the world. Why not just continue that?
My husband is in the military, maybe we can get him killed too while we're at him. I only love him with all my heart!
(by the way if you're not too familiar with the concept of sarcasm, this was it)

The war on terror is not actually a war but a campaign initiated by the United States government under President George W. Bush and followed by many countries around the world which includes various military, political, legal, religious, and personal actions taken to "curb the spread of terrorism.
So, if your question is "should we continue worrying about terrorists" then my answer is Yes, of course!

YES, the war on terror is crucial. However, this isn't your typical war. There is no clear cut winner and loser. Its not measured by controlling land or body count. It is measured by keeping Americans safe.
We are currently engaged against an opposition that hates us plain and simple and they will do what ever it takes to "destroy" the United States of America. If we disengage in the conflict it will be brought to our shores and be fought here in the US. Anyone who thinks differently is naive.
As to how far, there isn't an end in sight. The only way to destroy the terrorist is to kill them all, and when one is killed another pops up so were in it for the long haul or a tleast how it looks like to me. Besides if we were to pull out now and let Iraq or Afghanistan fall, wouldn't we dishonor all of those who have been wounded or died in the conflicts? You start it, finish it!

There IS no "war on terror". Terror is not something you can make war against. It is a state of mind.

The U.S. should strengthen it's allies with training and intelligence information and get those allies to make their own allies so in the end all the countries are fighting terrorists. Right now the terrorists in Columbia and the Philippines are losing or have lost a lot of territory in the past few years by doing just that.

YES !!!...... One of the reasons we are in this war is that we allowed terrorist to attack us without reprisal for over 22 years.
The only reason we have not been attacked by terrorists anywhere in the world for 6 years.....we punished those that did or threatened to attack us.
If we are to remain safe.....we need to be "pro-active" NOT "re-active". We must punish terrorist and the nations that support them where ever they are found.
(grly grl) The US military take extraordinary and expensive steps to avoid killing or injuring innocent civilians. We have ROE which are designed to protect the innocent and often puts our own troops at risk. We spend millions designing weapons that minimize collateral damage
84% of Iraq civilians support the Americans in the war.....even the Shiites approve by 74%

Yes we should.
How? Ummmmm... I don't know, what way would be friendly enough for the majority of Americans? I guess we could just sit back and wait for another terrorist attack in order for this country to unite again.

i don't think they should continue their war on terror. i think they should clean up the mess they've done and admit that the war has been a failure and done nothing but kill innocent lives.

I guess I don't understand the question, it's not really our choice, we didn't start it. We can leave the middle east if that's what your asking, of course the fight will just follow our soliders home.
