research that suggests the rapid erosion of moral and religious taboos.

Moreover, fewer than half of families will consist of married couples and up to a third could be lone parents, said Dr Peter Brierley, a former Government statistician now specialising in religious trends.

Dr Brierley's projections followed the publication of official figures yesterday showing that the number of births outside marriage has almost quadrupled in recent decades.

Psychologists say the children from single-parent families do not achieve so much or behave so well as those raised by married families."

Dr Brierley said his extrapolations show the number of married families will decline from 62 per cent in 2001 to 49 per cent in six years

Who cares if the births are out of wedlock? Would you rather they had abortions? As long as the child has loving parents, what's the difference?
And it's pretty funny that you call Europe "godless" since that's where the religion you practice originated. That's where all the rules were made up, but now it's the United States, founded on religious freedom, that has descended into theocracy.
And, Drea, waiting for marriage to have sex is no guarantee that the marriage won't break up.

The difference is that in Europe the couples generally still stay together to raise the children, they just choose not to marry. In the USA a child born out of wedlock is invariably in a single parent family.

Thats the problem with statistics, they can be read any way you want them to

"Yeah so the USA should follow GODLESS Europe?"

Perhaps we should follow this:

"Children accused more than 4,000 priests of sexual abuse between 1950 and 2002, according to a draft survey for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops."

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/02/16/church.abuse/

Or this:

"God repeats his intention to kill "every living substance ... from off the face of the earth." But why does God kill all the innocent animals? What had they done to deserve his wrath? It seems God never gets his fill of tormenting animals."

And, why are all those Christians in jail???

Well, actually it gets worse the more you look. Very few Europeans are having children. The vast majority or new births in Europe are Asian. The prediction for 2012 may be in deed close. But by 2050 there will not be any Christian churches.
I believe the end in in sight!

The God Yahweh is still watching and waiting for mankind to reach another long time low in maintaining order in the world. When mankind rejects God's teachings it is only a matter of time that we won't be able to stop our evil slide alone without God once again intervening.

i know it is shameful. that is why i'm waiting until marriage to have sex.
ppl will learn that after they break up with their mate they're a single parent. i grew up in a single parent home with one income and it was horrible. we did our best, but i know i want more. my mom almost went crazy being the only parent, i know things would have been easier if all the weight of a familly wasn't just on her shoulders.

Because it is the "latter days" . All of this is foretold in the bible. All nations will also be judged by how they treat Israel and the Jewish people. God Himself will defend Israel....and His chosen people as well as all those who have been grafted in at the cross. Praise God.
