or is it just me?

Yes. But the ones that really get to me are those questions which get a truthful response which the questioner doesn't agree with. So, the questioner will re-post the question hoping that the answer will somehow change in the magic world of cyberspace. It's especially evident in areas asking for information on medical conditions which might be disqualifying.

I think there are two problems.

First of all, your question is correct. Really dumb questions are appearing more frequently that have nothing to do whatsoever with this division of answers and perhaps no division on Answers.

Secondly, it is becoming more and more a forum for cowards who enjoy insulting our military and veterans. This I might add is the saddest part of it. I have been deliberating over leaving the forum because it is atrocious to see the comments and some of the anti-military and anti-American names chosen to hide behind. I've only remained to continue rebuttal towards those trolls until I am reported off. It is one thing to be against the war, the President, or a related subject; however, to berate our nation's heroes with words that are totally humiliating and degrading is insane. We wear the uniform on orders of the nation's leaders. In doing so we suffer horriffic personal sacrifices in the war and at home. Many of us now lie in hospitals maimed for life. Many of us will never return home, having given the ultimate sacrifice. I often wonder what is must be like for a wife, son or daughter to read the degrading comments on this forum after having lost their husband or father while serving.

The comments remind me of my return from Vietnam. Hurtful, insulting, unwarranted, and most of all cowardly. Simply sad and it speaks even sadder about the future of our country.

Some are serious and though might be considered "dumb" I find it more a statement of lack of knowledge and educational break downs combined with a want to know an answer. The only ones that really bother me are the "negative, slam you, not a question but a political statement" questions that trolls like. Those bother me and sometimes I even answer and try to do so from a sensible point and try not to drop to their level but usually I ignore them.

Lots of dumb ones, some are trying top provoke anger, some are just showing how stupid they really are.
There are some good ones out there too.

I hate the ones where the wives are trying to find out when their husbands first check is going to come it or when they will get the bonus. I realize there are budgets to plan, but many of the questions make them sound money hungry.

Sure it has. Just read some of the crap from Erudite, Erudite2 and WeddingsareallIknow. All the same person writing the same type of trash about the military.

Yes it has!
But I guess it's due to some people getting bored with their x-box, i-phones or maybe mom and dad took away the car so they have noting more to do.

BUT some do make interesting if not stupid points.
Besides, one can always make them disappear with the click of the mouse.
Gotta go now, my mouse finger is swollen again.

Yes it has. It's also been being overrun with people posting rants trying to spark political debates.
