What is expected of me if I get married to a Turkish woman in Turkey?

There will be lots and lots of hand kissing..
You will be hugged and kissed on the cheeks by the whole family- yeah distant cousins and all- friends and the neighborhood. Wipe that smile from your face: men will kiss and hug you, too :D
Then there will be lots and lots of dancing. You won't feel the soles of your feet by the end of the night..
Other than that, do what they tell you to do, go where they drag you and forget the question "why?" for that day :)))

Be prepared to be cordial... and empty your pockets... I can only say that the process is somewhat old fashion, and you have to be aware of the customs and courtesies.
There will be more paperwork and money changing hands than you ever imagined. I'm very serious....
Most important, you have to make it her most memorable occasion thus far in her life.
First, find the Turkish lady to marry...
Edit: Blunt, I made my inlaws so nervous... I thought I was the one that was to be nervous. I took her mother a Lladro as well since I collected them... they just sort of looked at it. Quite humorous.

Before the wedding you have to buy a box of lokum or chocolate, a bunch of flowers and go to the girl's parents and "ask for her". Like "ask for her hand", but from her father.
If the father is as witty as a regular Turkish father, he will stall and keep you in suspense. Nıhahaha! It ain't easy to marry a Turkish girl.
