I am doing a research paper for my religion class and thought seeing the time of year it is I could get some help on this question.
I have tried finding information and this.
So far I see no mention anywhere of him celebrating his birthday.
In fact a few books mentioned that First Century Christians did not celebrate birthdays.
Confusing!
Please help

The Jews in Jesus' day viewed birthdays as a pagan holiday.

Thus Jesus would not have celebrated his or anyone else birthday.

What about 1st century Christians?

early Christians did not celebrate or memorialize the birthday of their Savior, much less would they celebrate their own day of birth. Historian Augustus Neander writes: “The notion of a birthday festival was far from the ideas of the Christians of this period.” (The History of the Christian Religion and Church, During the Three First Centuries, translated by H. J. Rose, 1848, p. 190)

“Origen [a writer of the third century C.E.] . . . insists that ‘of all the holy people in the Scriptures, no one is recorded to have kept a feast or held a great banquet on his birthday. It is only sinners (like Pharaoh and Herod) who make great rejoicings over the day on which they were born into this world below.’”—The Catholic Encyclopedia, 1913, Vol. X, p. 709.

The scriptures gives the answer.

No.

Many point to the angels and "Wise men" (Astrologers)...saying they celebrated Jesus birth

This Info I have is taken from (http://www.blueletterbible.org/study/christmas/index.html)

This Site is Pro-Christmas..Please Analyze the text for "proof"..Ask yourself, are any of these text consenting to Christians celebrating Christmas?

Your in for a Treat.

The great thing about it is how many Christians are absolutely certain that Dec. 25th was his birthday.

The bible gives us lots of proof that he was born much earlier in the year during the warmer months.

No one knows, but December 25 is not the day that Jesus was born, its not his birthday.

Also, from what I know, birthdays were not celebrated years ago.

Maybe....Jews celebrate their birthdays don't they? I don't see why it would be different today than 2000 years ago...

So most likely Jesus did have some kind of special meal, or maybe his friends were all like "happy b-day Jesus!" but I don't htink it would've been like when he turned 12, or 13(not sure which year)

tee m is correct. celebrating self is viewed dimmly by our Heavenly Father. Jesus did tell others it wasn't his birth that believers should be paying attention to so much as the reason he had come to begin with. To die for the worlds sins, defeating death and ascending to heaven. His sacrifice er his Fathers sacrifice of allowing him to come and die for us made it possible for gentiles to have hope and faith and to be part of God's bigger plan for the reuniting of his family on earth with Him in heaven. Jesus gifted us with grace.
