Philip Pullman quote...(yes, i did just post another post on him)
AN extention of my other post...He feels that he has the right to be hatful and disrespectful to religion and to attack it, just as he has...but he seems to think that others simply should not be allowed to have countering views at all. What an idiot! He is no hero, like some people make him out to be.He Is a frightened fool who wishes to kill and stamp out all thoughts of God and faith just so that he doesn't have to deal with it anymore.
Im not a Christian, or Muslim, or Hindu...what does someone have to be religious to see what a bigot he is?
Why do we throw religion into a box, and decide that it is all evil and the basis of all war and killing in the world?
If we want to look at things that way, than atheism is a religion in and of itself and no less dangerous.
Relgion is not the root of all evil...MEN are because we just so love to hate and fight and detroy anything that disagrees with us.

In the end, Mr, Pullman will indeed bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. How many he will drag down with him to the pits of hell, will be determined by how many parents fail in their job to be parents.

Sorry, but unlike a lot of people today, I read the book and watched the movie and took it for what it was, a book and a movie, which I found very enjoyable.

I find it pathetic that people have to rip apart and analyze just about everything nowadays. I also enjoyed Moby Dick, The Wizard of Oz, and the old Tarzan movies, which someone on here said had some symbolism or other. Come on people. Don't be so straight laced about everything. There is not hidden meanings in everything and if there were, who cares, don't pay any attention to it.

...and?

I'm sorry, while you're over there whinging about what an author may or may not have said (you provide no sources or proof, I don't know) I will be re-reading is books and getting ready for what will, hopefully, be an amazing movie.

Lots of great authors said things I don't like or don't agree with. Doesn't mean their work is any less great.

Can't help who writes the book. I loved chronicles of Narnia when I was younger. They are just fun fantasy book meant to broaden your imagination.

It's a work of fiction, no more no less. There are people who believe it promotes Christianity.
