I quit about 2 weeks ago. I lived in florida but had to come back home to washington due to an emergency. My address that i put on my app is no longer valid and i told hem many times that it is not valid. I have asked them to send it to me here and sad i can prove my address yet they still want ME to pick up the check in person or they will mail it to that other address. I don want to fly all the way back to pick up the check. What should i do???

Put in a change of address at the post office in case they mail it or your W2 to the wrong address.
Get the name of the person there then talk to their boss. File a complaint with the labor department.

The Company will send it to the "last address of record".
Your state that you have told them many times that this address "is no longer valied".
Did you complete a "change of address form".
1st - Have the post office send all mail to your new address.
2nd - complete a "change of address form" and send to your employer, "registered mail".

Ask if they have a company change of address form...if not, email them saying you have moved and here is your new address. Print out the email and save it for your reference. If they failed to send you your check in a timely manner, you might be able to receive some type of compensation for their failure to send you your check.

Send them a letter certified mail, return receipt, advising them of your new address. Stop doing it over the phone. If they still refuse to send the check tell them you will report them to the state department of labor, then do it.
