Like every Career I've heard of, there are mixed emotions and the Pro's and Con's of everything. I am currently finishing a associates in Architecture and want to take a change towards marketing. I have long term goals which will include these skills, and would like some input on the occupation. Are you, your friend, relative, in the field of Marketing? I feel this could be a new way to express my creativity but would like more information on schooling and the career in general.

If you go into Marketing with a background in Architecture, you would be a perfect candidate to work as the Marketing Manager at an architecture firm. The marketing managers ioften work closely with the architects in the firm and subbing firms putting together and submitting proposals for open bids. It can be a creative position, and with your background you would definitely have an edge. Do a job search with the keywords 'architect marketing' and see what jobs come up and what they entail. However, the pay scale for the marketing position is not up to what the actual architects get.
