I have a rifle. it is old and and given to me by my grandfather. It is of unknown make and model. under the receiver is a stamp that reads RAYARD and has a little horseman over it. i suspect that it is the manufactureres mark, but i could not find any information. Any clues or suggestion on how i could find out?

I've been shooting, buying and selling guns for over 50 years and I have never seen or heard of a Rayard brand. My best guess is that it is a gun that was manufactured for a particular hardware store or gun dealer. Many guns were made for these dealers and were given names selected by the dealer. You might see if you can find anything on a Rayard sporting goods dealer or hardware store in the area where your grandfather lived.

Hello. I'm a Liutenant of Brazilian Military Police, and there's one Rayard's gun registered with one of our soldiers.

The model is DEMI BLOCK, cal .28'', 73.6mm, manufactured in Belgium.
Fires two bullets/shot.
I´m not sure if the brand is Rayard or Demi Block, but that's the information stored in our database.

Hope I've helped.

As an Firearms Appraiser, I'm not familiar with "Rayard"
It would be a big help if you could be a little more detailed in your description as far as caliber, barrel length, action etc. A digital photograph downloaded would go a long way in helping us identifying this firearm.......

Never heard of it. I've been an avid hunter for 10 years. But, if you say it's old....I'm only 24. Sorry.

Type it in and do a search on it, something will pop up on it.*
