It really depends on the type of Chemo. I was back to being myself I'd say 8 weeks after it was finished. But in that eight weeks I did nothing but focus on resting and letting my body heal. I had chemo for 2 years.

It is a slow process. I think it is sometimes hard to tell that you are improving except by looking back and noticing that your symptoms are less severe. Give it a year.

I am so sorry that is something you are having to go through.
Just a suggestion, my mother (breast cancer) went to a natuopathic doctor (in Canada) and experienced very few of the side effects associated with Chemo. She was unable to tell her regular doctor or her oncologist because they could have denied her treatment (because she was using other doctors). If you have any questions please let me know - I'll do my best to answer them.
