Many mammals are often born with eyes several shades lighter that the adult color. The reason is their body has not yet produced and stored enough melanin, the chemical that give color to skin hair and eyes. This is why many human babies have blue or green eyes at birth and green or brown eyes as adults. If her eyes have not begun to darken by her first birthday then it will prolly be permanent, but in all likely hood unless she is a member of one of those exotic fluffy white/gray breeds(whose names I can never remember) the blue eyes won't last, so take pictures now while you have the chance

More then likely you kitten will wind up with gold or green-gold eye color. That's the normal color for a blue tabby & white (which is the color of your kitten). They may take up to 2 or 3 months before getting their permanent color. BTW 5 weeks is MUCH too soon to be taking this kitten away from mom and siblings. They should be closer to 12 weeks old. They are still nursing from mom up to 8 weeks old. Be sure to spay her by 3-4 months old.

When I got my kittens they were 5 weeks old. One had blue eyes and one had green eyes; now they both have yellow eyes. They are about 9 months now. So they will most likely change.

Depends on breed, gender...ETC, ETC. More than likely they will not stay like that. Usually they change. Just wait til she's a bit older...then if they're still the same. It's a girl with grey-blue eyes.

They will change as the kitten gets older and matures, my kitty was like that too. Although, she had both blue eys and then they changed to green after about 2 months then changed to gray and have been like that for 3 years.
Hope I helped you.

ALL kittens have blue eyes at that age. They get their final colour when they are about 2 months old or a bit more.

They will probably go darker if they are a gray blue, or possibly go gray altogether. There is a very small chance with most baby animals (including human babies) that their eyes will stay blue, as it is a recessive trait. It would be very cool though if they did stay that way, blue-eyed cats are gorgeous.

Common in kittens to have grey blue eyes, they'll most likely turn unless she's got a strong Siamese gene in her that lightens them.

Kittens and puppies are born with blue eyes, like babies. They will darken over the next few weeks.
