100m sprints can be all about half seconds between winning and being first looser, and one of the main training sessions you can do is getting the start right. Practice it over and over again untill you get it perfect.
For your sprint training, train to sprint 150 or 200 meters (many 100m sprinters are also 200m sprinters). That way for the 100m you willhave the stamina to goal out for all the run. OK 100m isnt far but its very high intensity sprint.
Do weight training on your legs for the explosive force to come out of the blocks, in your arms to give you momentum when they are moving and also your torso to hold your arms and legs together.
Train your mind to win. Dont give up in a race, you are going to win - keep that attitude. When you are competing, hate the person in the blocks next to you, dont let them beat you, you can beat them. Focus on crossing the line first. The mind is a very inmportant thing to train for all running disciplines (for longer runs you have to train it to not get bored and keep you running).
Run 110 meters and not the 100 of the race - that way you willrun through the finish line at full speed and not stop when you get to it (if you stop you might have slowed down). This is where the 200m training helps
And remember to want to win the race. If you have a focus when you are training and competing it makes it all easier
Now its the winter season you canconcentrate on the technical parts, the mind and weights untill you can get back on the track again

Well I just recently found out myself that 100m Track Training is veryy tedious. It's alll about accuracy in training. You need to work on form about 3 months before then when the starts is when you work on developing speed after you achieve a good form. Some excersises include High Knees, shuffles, jumping rope. You need to also practice 10 second exploding periods in which you sprint, jump rope or anything extremely exerting. The 100 meter is about raw speed and acurracy and need to have a balance of both.
Good Luck
Im also going to train for the hundred meter dash
and the 400 and 800
The 400 is a good race for people in the hundred meter because It builds endurance as well as speed and acuracy.

1. Start training out of the blocks
2. Strength training
3. Sprint training
Start training is the methodical, mechanical, deliberate practice of getting started.
Strength training is upper body. 100m is 99.9% upper body strength.
Sprint training is the mechanics of getting the most speed out of you body movements to get you to the finish line.
Good Luck

I've ran track since I was in elementary school, and I've always been a sprinter and mid-distance runner (100m,200m,400m and the relays). The best thing I can tell you is to eat lots of carbohydrates, like noodles, breads,or just anything kinda light, that won't completely fill you up.You don't need to be very full before any race.I also get very nervous to the point of almost getting sick, before a race.So i would just suggest trying to keep your mind off of the race, that always worked for me.Unless it's a meet where you know for sure that you'll do well, then just try to keep your mind off of it and keep your muscles warm. Hope I helped! Lots of luck! C : P.S.-Those times are good, just make sure your doing workouts that will specifically work on the fast and slow twitch muscles, they make you go faster, jump higher, etc. Also, make sure your spikes are right where the ball of your foot is,and get into the habit of running on your toes, right off the bat.

Do like the man in the following did:-
A Celtic supporter was being chased down the road by a gang of Rangers supporters and they were gaining fast on him. Suddenly he sees a sign for the Clyde ferry and runs fast towards where it points.
As he rounds the corner, with the Rangers supporters almost on his heels, he sees the ferry just pulling away, so he puts a last spurt on, runs to the quayside and jumps, just making it onto the ferry.
He then turns round and waves two fingers at the gathered Rangers supporters and laughs at them. A voice behind him says, "Ah wuddna do that, son, if ah wer you." "Oh no and why not?" asks the Celtic supporter. The man says, "Well, we're just docking."

Run like Forest gump.
Get yourself a drag sled that you attach to your body and the do sprints with weight added to it. Or get a parachute and do the same thing.

Watch a lot of 100m event especially World championships, with a slow motion, so you can see the technique. Plus don't breathe at all in 100m. because you don't need Oxygen, you need strength.
