In a small pan add a good blob of real butter and a slosh of olive oil. With a couple of twists of black pepper, slowly melt.
Add thick slices of mushroom coating all of them with the mix.
When almost golden - splash liberally with Tabasco.
Hey-ho- what a fab quick treat.........YUMMY.........xxx

4 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
2 pounds wild mushroom(i like Cremini myself)
1 28ounce can of tomatoes
1 cup red wine
2/3 cup fresh bread crumbs
In a large sauce pan combine bacon...garlic and olive oil to meld flavors and cook the bacon....add the red pepper flakes and cook for 2 more minutes..add the mushrooms and salt and pepper to taste...and saute till they release all their juices...7-8 minutes...add tomatoes and red wine
partially cover pot and simmer 20-30 minutes...meanwhile in a small pan add 2 tbsp olive oil and bread crumbs..toss over medium high heat till brown...sprinkle over mushrooms...and enjoy!!!!!!
