They are ANIMALS!!! They do not know or care who they are related to and will breed with ANY intact animal of the same species and opposite sex!!! Mother and son. Father and daughter. Brother and sister!!!!! Happens ALL the time because people think it won't!

Cats don't have as strong an incest taboo as humans. When a queen goes into heat she doesn't care who it is as long as he is feline breathing and male.

In one small town I used to live in there was this one old tom that had been systematically chasing away every other intact male for miles, for almost a decade he was the only possible mate around and thus became father grandfather and in a few cases great-grandfather of every cat in the area. Of course each generation of cat became increasingly worse in terms of health but it took that long for someone to catch him and get him fixed

I have two cats from the same litter, before we got them fixed the female went into heat and thus began the chasing them around so they would not mate. Luckly we put them in seperate rooms for a day till we got them to the vet, or either we would of had kittens!!!

When the cats are in heat (meaning nature is telling them to have sex) they mate with whatever other cats they can find. Siblings and father/daughter or mother/son might mate. They don't realize that they are related. It is not wrong to them.

Makes no difference to them. In the wild the pair could be the only ones to be around to propagate. Do the right thing and spay/neuter them. There are enough cats running around.

unfortunatlly when the female comes in heat they will breed and they shouldn't. They dont really care if theyre brother and sister...nature takes over so have them fixed.

they could if you let them but the babie will come out with lots of birth defects and will most likley die so if you keep a brother and a sister you need to get both of them fixed or at least the boy so they wont spray in your home

yes they do, and mommies and daddies will mate with their children also

cats do not recognize family ties the way we do, if its old enough to mate and of the opposite sex, they will mate

this is how we get inbred cats that have weird things like extra toes

another reason why its important to spay and neuter your cats!
