Add together in a blender:
Vanilla Ice cream, frozen strawberries, chocolate syrup

Will that make a strawberry chocolate milk shake or do I need something else for the strawberry?

I would skip either the chocolate or the strawberries and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla to either. If you mix strawberries and chocolate you won't get that chocolate dipped strawberry flavor that you're looking for (I love those). It will be a less tasty mix.

If you go with the strawberries and strain the pureed strawberries before you add them you will get the seeds out and have a smoother shake.

And, as another poster indicated, you will need to add some milk. Add it at the end to get it to the consistency you want

(3 scoops of icecream your choice)
2 scoops Vanilla icecream
1 scoop Chocolate icecream
1 cup milk
1 cup frozen strawberries

It sounds good to me too. You could try adding banana or use banana instead of strawberries.
