he always admits that he drinks to have some fun but also that he doesn't need to drink to have fun what is up is he an alcoholic???? does he need help????? how do i prevent his drinking????

I believe that both can be true. It's like saying that you watch a movie to have fun, but clearly you can have fun without watching movies. This doesn't necessarily make you addicted to movies. If you are spending all of your money on DVDs and skipping work to go to movies all the time, you might have a problem.

He might be an alcoholic. You can't do anything to prevent him from drinking. He has to make the choice.

only he can decide if he has a problem he can not quit for any one but him self hope this helps good luck
