How can I jump from being really close friends with a guy in my highschool to...well...more??

Ok so I see him mostly everyday because we go to school together and he is even one of my closest friends although we dont have any class together

He has never really dropped any verbal hint but physically he like hugs me a lot and when we are like sitting together he wants me to lay my head on is shoulder and he pust his hand in my leg...stuff like that

So here comes the problem. he likes or liked (i hope) another girl who is also friends with us but she was in a long distance relationship so she turned him down eventhough she did told him she liked him too. Now she is single again and he pretty much acts the same way with her he acts with me.

Im too confused now. I think he might like me but he might also stil like her. I dont know if he knows i like him but i wouldnt dare to tell him. Should I try to get him or not? and if so how?

you should just concentrate on being friends for now. Once you finish high school, you or he may go to college and may meet other people that you may like even better or you may end up together but you don't want to get into a serious relationship at your age because too often that doesn't work out as you can see by the number of divorce question on this forum. He isn't ready for anything serious or he wouldn't be that way to both of you and you may push him away - or she might - by trying to be anything more than friends at this point.

I wouldnt mess with him, he sounds like he likes to be a little bit to friendly with girls. and if he DOES like both you and her, why would u want to get with him and him still be thinking of her? I heard a saying that i liked yesterday and i think it kind of applies here "he who chases to many rabbits catches none" the guy sounds like he needs to back off a little bit and stop being TO friendly with EVERYONE
