Some are just skinny. I have two girls who are given the same diet, yet one is very slender while the other is a chunky monkey. As long as your vet says she's healthy then you have nothing to worry about.

If the vet does not see a problem, please don't worry.
Spunky is male, 7 yrs old, 13-16 lbs.
Spaz is male, 5 yrs old, 20 lbs
Orange Kitty is male, 5-6 yrs old, 17 lbs
BK is female 2 yrs old, 7 1/2 lbs, the kittens mom....
The Kittens (8-19-07)
Bully, male 4 1/2 lbs
Bear, male 4 lbs
Little Boy 3 1/2 lbs
Little Girl is 2 3/4 lbs
I took them to the vets, even though they are small, do not weigh much, the vet told me they are fine...nice pink roof in mouth, lots of energy (too much if you ask me), eating and go to the bathroom, no worms....no other problems.

Some cats are naturally skinny. However, I would take the cat to one or two other veterinarians before concluding that all is well. Sometimes other symptoms go easily unnoticed or disguise themselves. Worms is possible, but it might be something more or less serious. Watch for any strange behavior and report it to the vet (new and old).

My cat is a siamese calico. She is going to be 2 years old in December and she weighs 6 pounds 8 onzes. And no, she doesn't have worms. She is very petite and slender. The vet had said she was a good weight!

Oooo! I don't mean to scare you but yes, consider another vet if your existing vet has not fully examined your cat.
I had a cat who was overweight most of her life. We always tried to put her on a diet but nothing seemed to work. But then one day she started getting skinnier, and it continued. At first we welcomed it, but we didn't know what was going on.
Then one day she died and it took us by surprise. We took her body to the vet for an answer and as it turned out, the cat had a RESPIRATORY DISEASE we'd never heard of.
So beware of any unnatural weight loss or lack of appetite. Have her checked out again because some respiratory diseases in felines are not immediately evident.
Good luck to you!

I also have an orange cat who's been skinny since I have him. I now give him Royal Canine Outdoor 30, with extra energy. Hoping he will get a bit fatter.

Definitely get a second opinion if you are nervous about it. It may be a tapeworm or something more serious.
If the next vet gives you the okay, it may just be that she is naturally skinny. I wouldn't worry about it then. Just make sure she has food, water, and a yearly checkup!

She probably has worms (they eat what the cat eats, making them not get enough food and be skinny).
You should probably feed her some wormer. Ask the vet or get some at a store.

Some cats are like that.
My Siamese is rail thin but very healthy.
She may get a bit thicker as she ages, but overall I`d say don`t worry.
Your Vet is right.
My cat has NO WORMS.
P.S. Is anyone gonna pay for Vet bills for this Questioner ??????
