Australia takes thousands of migrants every year. We depend on immigration. There are, however, more people who want to live here than we can comfortably fit in so we can pick and choose our migrants. Every country does this.

Australia seems underpopulated but it is not, most of the inland is desert. We take thousands of immigrants every year. Australians are a very friendly people but what we don't like is people from other countries coming here and expecting us to change and be like them. If people come to our country we expect them to respect our way of life and our cuture and not try and change us to their ways.We are great jokers and like a laugh and a good time, work hard and play hard, and people from other countries don't like that. We all have different religions, and respect other people's point of view, which most of the immigrant from the middle east don't they want us to be like them. So to them we say if you don't like it get out and go home. Why did you come here in the first place

Simple answer is NO, our immigration policy is fine as it is.
If you possess the skills that Australia needs, we'll be in touch.......

It appears that you're American, Billy. Am I right?? What would you know about Australia's immigration policies or poulation? From what I've seen of most Americans posting on here, you'd be lucky to know WHERE Australia is, let alone be in a position to comment on our domestic affairs.

In short, mind your own business pal.......

Australia actually isnt under populated. The majority of our country is uninhabitable. The only viable living areas are on the coast and on estuarys which are already becomming over crowded.

Absolutely not.. Australia is not under populated, as is shown by the rental/housing crisis etc. We just have large areas that are unliveable.

with the drought and water shortages as well as high unemployment immigration should be slowed down

immigrants also should live the Australian way of life instead of causing controversy ramming their culture down Aussie throats
