I love to sing, I used to sing all the time, but now when I sing with all my might, I get the flu a day or two later.

that's interesting. either you are standing next to a sick person, breathing in sick air, or yes, you might indeed be straining a bit too hard.

you are probally straining your throat when you sing, and your body might react from the stress you put on it. How many times has this happened? If it's less than twice I would try singing again.

either you need to get that checked out or your just not ment to sing. hope you find out. lots of luck with your singing
