i have no doubts. you shouldn't either. when you question Gods word, you're questioning him. is that any way to treat the one responsible for every breath you take? if you're having issues in you're life, dont take your frustration out on God or blame him for your problems. sometimes those 'problems' are answers that will teach you something or turn you down a certain path that would be much better than something your facing now. i know this bcz when i was going through a hard situation w/feeling depressed my father doesnt love me and cares more about sleeping around and women more than me, i realized i that God was a REAL father that would never turn his back on me. when i realized that, not just that problem disappeared but many others. as long as you've God on your side, you can get through any thing.

Here are some quotes that sum up my position:
A humane person reading the books of the bible for the first time, without any glamour of divine inspiration, would shudder at their cruelty and blush at their obscenity. Those who can make these fouls facts illustrate beautiful symbols must have a genius of high a order.
The utter contempt for all decencies of life, and all the natural personal rights of women as set forth in the bibles pages, should destroy in the minds of women at least, all authority to superhuman origin and stamp the Pentateuch at least of emanating from the most obscene minds of a barbarous age.
Some cruel & ridiculas highlights:
GENESIS
Chapter 5- 6:2 Angels are "sons of God" - there are no "daughters of God"
7:2 Male ark animals own their female peers
17:9-14 Tabloid headline: Sarah preganate at 90!
20:1-13 Abraham tries to prostitute his wife again
20:12 Abraham marries his half sister
25:21-24 Lord impregnates Rebekah
DEUTERONOMY
5:21 Don't desire neighbors wife or a*s
22:13-21 Barbaric virgin test
22:23-24 woman who is raped in the city - as well as her rapist - must be stoned to death
JUDGES:
1:12-13 A daughter is the "reward" for murder
RUTH
4:10 Boaz buys Ruth to be his wife (how romantic)
2 SAMUEL
6:20-23 Michal is barren for life because she scolded David for being vile
1 KINGS 1:1-4 A young virgin is brought to "warm up" elderly David
2 KINGS
9:32-37 Jezebel is mutilated and brutallykilled as the man who orders her death dines and drinks
15:16 Rip up woman and child
PSALMS
137:9 Dash thy little ones against the stones
PROVERBS
19:18 Don't spare for your sons crying
ISAIAH
9:20 They shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm
The cruelty and nuttyness of the bible is unending....those that wrote the stories had one he*l of a imagination and had little value of human life.

There are many things in the bible that are self-contradictory.
Such as "thou shalt not kill" and the long list of people who shold be put to death according to the laws in the old testament.
But more than that, it's the history of the bible which makes me question it's veracity. The bible as we know it was assembled by a committee of representatives of the various sects, headed by a roman emperor. That is not some conspiracy theory, it is documented fact acknowledged by every christian religion. How can this book be the literal word of god if it was voted on by a group of men?

I wouldn't really know what each section of the Bible (because it was not created at once) says unless I read it in the original language. Then I could speak informedly about it. Right now, we're just talking about some third-hand translations. Who knows if they are correct or not?

humans can be so disappointing were animals are different in age to humans with one year such as seven to one so are humans to God our time is quit different and I have no doubts in the Bible I have doubts in the people that put it together after it was written due to the fact that the dead sea scrolls were left out WHY, what is it that some people are trying to hide. No one should doubt the one that created us or what he had humans write for him to be placed in the bible , we were created in his image.

I know this isnt an aswer you would like to read but this is my take on the bible as a believer. The bible is writen in a way that the human logic cannot understand it. Is that grounds to deniy its infaulable truth? Absolutly not, if we denied everything that we did not understand we would be no where. The big difference between christians and atheists or agnostics is that christain read teh bible and even if they don't agree with it or don't understand it they can grasp teh understanding taht it is the written word of god and it is true. as christians we place faith in teh bible the same as we palce faith in a chair when we sit on it. I will be honest, it is nearly impossible to prove faith to someone, especially when they do not wwant to listen to waht is being said. So Im going to guess that many people will rebute what I have said. But I lvoe all you you for it is told for all christain to love the sinner but not the sin.

Noah's Ark. I have a lot of doubts about that. Is there any evidence that it happened? And are the sources for the evidence reliable?
Also, why didn't Balaam react when his donkey was talking to him? I would have FREAKED OUT if a donkey had been talking to me!

I think the more important question is, if you are religious, why would you care about anyone else's doubts? If you are not religious, then why are you stirring a hornet's nest?
