it should have went away about a day or two after unless something else is causing the pain. you might have another tooth that needs worked on. I had the same problem i had an infection from my wisdom tooth and once it was removed the pain went away that same day, it took a day for the open socket to feel better. Try swishing with hot salt water and mouth wash.

It should be going away soon. I hope you don't have a dry socket. This will cause swelling and a lot of pain. Call the dentist if it continues.
