So go ahead and drink if you'd like but then answer my question.

In all the articles I've read about this case, it's mentioned that the teacher let her students choose the name for the bear, she didn't name it herself. Are these kids being punished too? Of course I don't think they should (I don't think anyone should), but I'm just curious.

Sorry if this has been asked already, I tried to read through the teddy bear questions first but there's just so many of them!

No, of course the children aren't being punished.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Had the woman not been British, it wouldn't have been an issue. She would have gotten a stern talking-to, and so would the class.

Each of the children should get 40 lashes each, otherwise they will never learn what the difference is between an inanimate object and a real living thing is.

Apparently the real issue is that it makes the bear into an "image" of Mohammad not that a teddy bear is specifically an insult.

Never mind that the question of images of Muhammad is not resolved either.

Interesting..I also hope they aren't being punished, and agree that is an egregious situation. So very sad. These children are receiving punishment regardless of any action that may or may not be taken against them. The punishment to their hearts for having to be involved in the turmoil of the situation. Children should not have to worry about such things. I am saddened and praying for them.

I don't believe so. Isn't it convenient to blame the teacher but not the children?
