People who are so up in arms about the teddy bear thing...need to keep one thing in mind...
This woman went to a foreign country and broke the law. They have the right to punish her under the laws of their nation. Once she has served her punishment, she is under no other debt to the country.
End of story.
The ones who want her dead are extremists, and just a small fraction of the followers of that particular religious belief system.
