With all due respect NO NO NO!!!!
A new dye due to hit tattoo parlors this fall will provide an exit strategy of sorts for people who have thought about getting a tattoo, then wondered if they might someday have regrets.
The permanent but removable ink is made by storing dye in microscopic capsules that will stay in the skin for good. But if that butterfly tattoo on the small of your back starts looking lame, it can be zapped away with a single laser treatment that is simpler and less painful than the barrage of treatments now needed.
While the idea might intrigue some — for example, the 36% of Americans ages 18 to 29 who get tattoos, according to a 2006 study by the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology— some enthusiasts say getting inked without the lifetime commitment wouldn't be appealing. Those in the industry are also skeptical, especially since the company making the dye says it will cost considerably more than a regular tattoo. The American Academy of Dermatology reports tattoo regret is common in the United States. Among a group of 18- to 50-year-olds surveyed in 2004, 24 percent reported having a tattoo and 17 percent of those considered getting their tattoo removed.

I love tattooes, get one. Sure there is pain, its a needle hitting your skin a thousand times per second. But after the first 5 mins its just a vibrating feeling, kinda like what you were saying.
BUT only get a tattoo if you have your parents consent, I found out the hard way and everyone in my family has tattooes.

Id say the lower back hurt more for me than like my shoulder blade. I got my first tat when i was 16 but it was because my older brother is an tattoo artist. I think you may be able to get it done with a parent or just try going to one and see if they id you. I dig what you said about the pain too.
hope this helped peace

No. It might be cute now, but not when you're older and everything starts to sagggg.......do you really want to frighten your children/grandchildren when that pretty butterfly begins to resemble a vulture? As for your second paragraph, go visit your local used bookstore (many times, this will take a bit of hunting) and see if you can find these three books:
The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty
Beauty's Punishment
Beauty's Release
The author is Anne Rice, writing under the pseudonym A. N. Roquelaure
But don't let your mommy see them, she will be thoroughly shocked! - peace and love, dear

Sorry to tell you this , but pain isn't good and getting a tattoo is worse. You shouldn't inject that toxic ink into your skin and also a tattoo is a perfect entrance for bacteria into your body. And a tattoo stays on your skin for ever. How would you look as an elder with a tattoo?
If you still want a tattoo then ask a friend to draw one on your arm with a permanent markers (it will also save you a lot of money). (-;

The least painful parts of your body to have tattoed are the fleshier bits! Bum cheek, top of arm, top of leg.
I have 4 tattoos - 2 on my left shoulder, 1 on my tummy and 1 on the top of my thigh/bum. In order of painfullness, the thigh/bum was least painful and the most painful was the shoulder, mainly because I'm quite skinny and it was against my shoulderblade bone.
Here in the UK, you cannot get a tattoo until you are 18 years old.

No. Of course whoever is browsing the tattoo section of Yahoo! Answers is going to say yes. Wait until your a little older. I had a friend who got one about that age and a couple years later, she decided she didn't like it. You'll probably want something else by the time you are in your early 20's.

It's your body...just remember that; you are the one who has to live with it. Make sure whatever you get has meaning!!! Also, I have 3 tattoos; the one that hurt most was on my lower back...it seems anywhere there's bone, there's pain. You mention how you like pain, so enjoy it!!!

No. Do some research first. I have 5 tattoos. I got my first one at 18 and it ended up being something that I don't like anymore. All the other ones I got years after that I still like but I want to have my first one removed. Your style and tastes will change and you will regret getting it so soon.
