I am a Psychic and I understand this very clearly. You are highly ambitious. You had such dreams more frequently at early stage of life.Gradually the recurrence of such dreams keep reducing. There's nothing bad or good about it.
In some way, it inspires you indirectly to achieve great height in life .Good for you.
All the best.

God Bless

This extraordinarily common. Don't know the genetic emotional predispositions (if one is interested in such things) but I think that some phobias such as acrophobia (fear of heights) is genetic and comes from a time early in man's history when we genuinely had fear of high places because it placed us vulnerable and we may even have had some natural predators that flew and preyed on our ancestors. That said, not everyone in the world fears heights, so conversely if that gene doesn't present itself then it could instead be a desire to shake constraint and fly as birds, mimicking the floating senseless freedom we had befgore we were born.

Biology aside, gravity is often distorted in dreams and flying dreams happen often and is often the first thing to control in lucid dreaming (my own included) it is a desire for freedom and ambition as stated above and is a lot of fun. Usually there's a trigger, in your case perhaps your arms but if you also focus on the sensation and recall it often you can replicate the action in future dreams.

your arms are open like wings, & u fly high but open arms do indicate the open mind, uninfluenced thoughts,
this dream could be an indication that do not corrupt ur thoughts or practices by anger, ego, jaelousy, or favouritism.
More u are balanced while making a jugement or concluding something or while dealing with people & better solution u get, you get more & more appriciated & admired so you gain more respect flying high can be related with gaining good position, respect.....
so be good & stay balanced.
good luck

Adolescents have such dreams in late teens and adults in 20s and30s.
It symbolizes ones "physical growth" and evolutionists say it indicates the "birds stage" in evolution of man.

Dear Hermit

I too had such dreams in my young age. I think we have this type of dreams, because of our ambition to grow higher in our life.If I am right, those who suffered in their age and strong ambtion to grow financially, educationally or in any way get this type of dreams.
God bless you to achieve the high aims in your life.

good luck

It's THE classic example - Freud claimed it indicated sexual frustration. I don't remember why, but it's central to his thesis in "The Interpretation of Dreams," which should be in your local library...
