Muslims have freedom of speech, we don't.
Muslims are FORCING their religion and idiotic beliefs on the world, and because this country has gone mad we have to listen to it. You can say no wrong to a Muslim because they will cause uproar, and kill innocent people, and they shout the loudest. The government are scared of them.
What I like about on here is you can be honest, people either like you or they don't. Freedom of speech is for the Muslims only, and unfortunately we are allowing them to get away with it.
If we went to Iraq or any other Muslim country we would have to live by their laws, and respect their countries beliefs, but as you know, they do not respect UK's beliefs, or laws. The only way they know how to solve a problem is to kill people. That says a lot about the extremists.
There are some nice Muslims out there, but unfortunately they are not showing themselves for fear of the evil Muslims.

Most Muslim countries have Islam written into their constitutions as the official religion. Some of these are more tolerant of Christianity than others. (Saudi Arabia prohibits all non-Muslim worship.) Although the UK still has an Established Church, at least in England, it's been a long time since Christianity was considered the OFFICIAL religion there. Since a registry office is a government agency, evidently it must be strictly secular. As for wearing a cross, are you really saying that it's illegal to wear one? The last time I looked, the Channel was still there!

I have wondered the same thing for many years. Not just Muslims how about the fact that in Canada we can not bring knives to school but they can carry a dagger, and the government changed the mountie policy so they can wear their turbans. I guess we christians are too easy going. Are you serious are you not afraid they will be monitoring the site and find who you are and come give you a whipping.I better give my neighbor the heads up because he called his lizard mohammed.

Yep, you are absolutely right. The problem is that as British people, we have emotional freewill and choice in life. The radical Muslims don't appear to enjoy that and I personally thinks this makes them very blinkered in all that they do. But this is not all muslims, just those that spread their religion with zeal and in many cases, hatred of non-muslims. I know many Muslims in this country that integrate and enjoy the British way of life .... it is the radicals, here and abroad, that fight against our Western ways and have a will to destroy our very being. We certainly couldn't go over there and build churches, could we? Mohammed and Christ don't mix for them and any such places of worship would be burned to the ground as invaders of their one and only way of religious life. It's all very unbalanced, isn't it?

England isn't a "Christian country" anymore.
England facilitated the immigration of non-Christians to Britain, from the 1950's onward. Many Muslim countries are not migrant-friendly, whether you like it or not. Considering that England only facilitated non-Christian immigration for economic reasons, it's not like you're morally superior or anything.

It is hard to say why people do what they do. Why don't Christians respect Muslims? All the Muslims that I know do respect Christianity, and tell me that the Koran teaches tolerance of all religions. We cannot take the actions of a few extremists as meaning that all people are like them.
I do agree that when visiting a foreign country we need to respect the laws of that country, and not expect the people to accept our behavior if it is contrary to their law. But, on the other hand, if those same people visit our country, they need to show that same respect to our laws.

With regard to the first answer. Be warned that Islam does embrace the occult and Muslims can and do put curses on people. Contrary to what people believe Islam permits anything if its in the name of Allah - and that includes ignoring ethics, morals, and the law. The extremists are merely acting out what most Muslims believe.

I respect that you have enough sense to make a valid point. Those who do respect people of other cultures and religions go unnoticed such as myself.
Another point, for the UK to be Christian country - I haven't seen any Christians and I myself do not have any objections against any symbols of religion.
You can't express you religion your problem.
