NAT type 2 is better than 3. NAT type 3 is the worse connection most in-game communication are disabled in NAT type 3.

NAT type 1: wired (best connection)
NAT type 2: wired/'wireless (strong connection)
NAT type 3: wireless (bad connection)

lol i was talking about this today in school with my mates becasue i just got a ps3.
Anyway, well basiaclly Nat2 is better than NAT3 because sometimes wireless which is NAT3 logs itself out. My mate has that problem, and he always loses connection. Thats what thats all about.
The best connection is NAT1 becasue you use the ethernet cable which connects to your modem/adsl etc... which then makes a strong connection.
NAT 1- is wired, this is the best connection you can get
NAT 2- is wired/'wireless which is a good connection (not as good as NAT 1.
and...
NAT 3 - wireless connection, which isnt a very good connection.
You choose whats right for you.
good luck

The 80GB has SACD playback, 4 USB ports, more space, and memory card readers that support CompactFlash, Memory Stick Pro/Duo, and SD. It plays ~80-90% of PS2 games via a combination of software and hardware. The 40GB does not have SACD playback, only has 2 USB ports. There is no memory card reader. It does not have PS2 playback. The USB ports and memory card reader can be rectified by purchasing a USB hub or USB memory card reader. Both models play ~99% of PS1 games, have wifi and gigabit ethernet ports. Both models allow for the users to upgrade the harddrive to any 2.5" SATA drive without voiding the warranty. They accept USB flash drives (so don't think you're missing much with no memory card reader), and will read FAT32 formatted external harddrives. I'm disagreeing with Wiiplay on that the 80GB is for "hardcore" people. Yes, you can use it as a media center (watch DivX movies, .mp4, view photos, listen to music), but many games require partial installations. Most are <1gb, but some (Oblivion, DMC4), require up to 5GB of space. Also, if you plan to purchase games on the PSN, that takes up space, and if you like to keep the demos you download from the PSN, those all clock in at 700-1000mb each. But like I said, the harddrive is upgradeable, so for you it may be worth it to buy the 40gb model, and install a larger harddrive with the $100 you save.
