You didn't finish your sentence... what you meant to ask was:
"Are Americans totally ignorant about Iraq's decline... in violence and terrorist acts?"
It appears that you, my friend, are ignorant about that. Most other Americans can see that Iraq is getting better. It doesn't happen over night - but it IS happening. It's becoming safer and CRIME and TERRORIST ACTS are steadily declining.
Have a nice day with your insurgent buddies! You should have a real "blowout" party that's limited to your own apartment. (Or mother's basement - is that it?)

How bad it's gotten? Yeah, totally. They were MUCH better off with saddam in power. I mean look at what America has done to them..... brought democracy, given the people a voice, allowed women to go to school.... Yeah, we completely f*cked that place up.

Most Americans could care less about Iraqs problems or any one elses problems (including their next door neighbor)
They are more concerned with putting food on the table, and paying the bills...

I don't think American want to know. They are prepared to grasp any ridiculous statistics that shows some "improvements".
It's like the doctor telling you we'll only have to cut off 7 of your fingers rather than 10, and you saying "YIPPIE!"
You'd think they had no idea that another 35 American soldiers died this month along with over 1,000 Iraqis murdered. God knows how many tortured, maimed, and how many hundreds of thousands huddle around in the dark with no heat, no water and no light.
And don't even bring up all the Iraqis killed by us during and after the invasion.
These people have been suffering for half a century, and probably in 2007 it's worse than it ever was for them.

Are you serious, please turn off CNN and join the rest of the world...85% of Iraq is now safe...there are more people killed in LA than in Iraq...
