True there are many attacks being made in R&S, but do you ever think your defenses get in the way of a possible connection to someone who you have falsely perceived as an attacker? Do you ever check your own baggage to see why you are being triggered and try to find some common ground with others? Or do you assume that everyone that triggers you is out to get you?

It's hard to see the difference between an attack on a response or an attack on a sincerely held belief. I for one get tired of seeing pretty much the same rants on the same subjects, but I can't tell if someone is genuinely asking a question, wanting information, or is looking for a verbal fight of sorts.

By defenses, do you mean our responses? Granted, some of the responders, Christian or othewise, can be a little harsh in their responses, but there have been many who show some serious respect and restraint. It's impossible to lump all these types of responses into one big category. Humorously, some may feel compelled to fight fire with "the fire of the Lord", but one wonders how effective this approach might be.

You've asked a most reflective, thought-provoking question.

Does it really matter? This is the internet. Many folks come here to attack and many others come to be defensive. In a world where we are to conduct ourselves with such political correctness, folks needs a place where they can vent.

I've given up with reading between the lines ages ago. Now I just read things as I read them and respond accordingly. I don't analyze myself or others based on what they post on the internet. Do you really think all internet trolls are disruptive and argumentative in their real lives?

Oh... and... WHY ARE YOU TARGETING (JUST) ME WITH THIS POST?!?!?!?

I agree, we should be careful not to presume attack unless it is blatant.
