I REALLY need a shower I didn't take one yesterday so I smell really bad with greasy hair and for some reason my water is only spitting out little bits of water. Could it be frozen pipes or something? I dont know what to do i have work in 2 hours!

I am presuming you have city water, not a well/pump system.

If your pipes were totaly frozen you wouldn't get any water untill they thawed, then it would be spraying out wherever the pipes split. If they are partly blocked with ice, running the water would clear them out as the warmer water from underground would melt any ice in the lines. If, there is pressure, but it is spitting out mostly air there might be air in the lines. Did they work on the water mains or the plumbing in your house/apartment during the night? Or maybe they lost water pressure during the night and the lines have not been totally purged of air yet.? Try letting it run and see if eventually you get water coming out (it will probably be pretty nasty looking at first if the lines were worked on, because it stirs up the sediment in the lines). If they still don't work, you might be able to shower at a friends house.

Is it cold enough for the pipes to freeze? If so then take a blow dryer and heat the main pipe.

it is either frozen..if you live up north with poor insulation, water pump is bad or fuse went...if you have a well/pump set up, or shut off from the main valve...if you didnt pay your water bill last month. Good luck!

call the plumber but it might take long, you can call your office and tell them the problem and you can't go to work.
